e-Statements are a FREE and convenient way to receive your monthly/quarterly statement electronically, taking the place of your regularly mailed statement. Statements arrive electronically 3 to 4 days earlier than through regular postal mail and look just like the paper version. Safe and secure using online encryption, receiving your statement electronically eliminates the hassle of storing paper copies and the possibility of your statement being taken from your mailbox without your knowledge!
You will be notified by e-mail when your statements are ready to be viewed. Simply click on the link in the e-mail or log onto your Internet Banking account, click on the "e-Statements" button and select the month you wish to review. Your e-Statements will be available online for 12 months. If you want to store them longer, simply save them on your computer or copy to an external storage device. If you need a paper copy simply print one out! You will need to have Adobe Acrobat Reader on your computer in order to read your e-Statement. Adobe Acrobat Reader is free software that you can download here or through the e-Statement registration page.
Ready to get started? Click here to register or log onto your Internet Banking account and click on the e-Statements button. You will need to create a user name and password so that you can access your statements without signing on to Internet Banking. However as long as you sign on to your online account first, you won't need to enter the user name and password again.
KEEPING YOUR ONLINE FINANCIAL AND PERSONAL INFORMATION SECURE AND CONFIDENTIAL REMAINS ONE OF OUR TOP PRIORITIES! Get ready for a new feature to help protect you from fraud!
We ensure your privacy and security by offering technology and services designed by the brightest minds in the online banking industry.
Encryption: The privacy of communications between you (your browser) and our servers is ensured via encryption. Encryption scrambles messages exchanged between your browser and our online banking server.
Password Complexity: It is important to verify that only authorized persons log into online banking. This is achieved by verifying your password. When you submit your password, it is compared with the password we have stored in our secure data center. We allow you to enter your password incorrectly a limited number of times; too many incorrect passwords will result in the locking of your online banking account until you call us to reinitialize the account. We monitor and record "bad-login" attempts to detect any suspicious activity (for example - someone trying to guess your password).
You play a crucial role in preventing others from logging on to your account. Never use easy-to-guess passwords such as birth dates, first names, pet names, addresses, phone numbers or social security numbers. And never reveal your password to another person!
Enhanced Security Login through Multifactor Authentication is now available giving our members another layer of security to protect their online banking account.

Identity Theft, Phishing, Phone Scams, Jury Scams, Internet Fraud, Mail Fraud….when does it end? Unfortunately we must all take responsibility to protect ourselves and our loved ones from people who would take advantage!
Don’t wait, thinking it won’t happen to you or someone you love! Protect yourself now! Below are some basic precautions you can take and some resources you can use to keep your private information secure.
Credit and debit card use should be monitored. Before swiping your card at an ATM or gas pump, look at the card reader. Does it appear to be altered? Have an extra "cover" over it? Be damaged? Crooks will sometimes place secondary "readers" over the legitimate card reader to capture card information.
Multifactor Authentication can help protect your account from unauthorized access. Check out the MFA section above for more information!
E-mail messages warning of dire consequences if you don't update your account information or click on a special link within the e-mail are sophicated "phishing" attacks. Do not fall for them! Do not click on the link - it may direct you to a website set up to look like a trusted one, but will actually be designed to capture your personal account information or to download malicious programs designed to attack your computer. Instead go directly to a website by typing the address in the browser bar.
Review your account activity frequently. Check to make sure there are no unauthorized transactions on your account. Contact the credit union immediately if you suspect someone has accessed your account fraudulently.
Never provide personal information unless you initiated the contact! Protect your account numbers, PIN numbers, and social security numbers! If you receive an e-mail asking you to call a number and confirm your account information - don't make that call! If you are unsure, call us directly!
Do not be intimidated by an e-mail or caller who suggests dire consequences if you do not immediately provide them your account information!
You did not win a lottery if you did not enter one! Beware of people asking you to cash their check and send them a “processing” fee! The check is probably counterfeit! Do not wire funds to someone promising riches! There is no Spanish/Canadian/Nigerian/Russian Lottery that will pay you millions!
Selling something over the Internet? Do not accept a check for more than you sold the item for! Make sure the check is good before you turn over the item – especially large dollar items! Not sure? Call us - we'll help!
If you fall victim to an attack, act immediately to protect yourself. Alert your financial institution. Place fraud alerts on your credit files. Monitor your credit files and account statements closely. Here is the contact information for each credit bureau’s fraud division:

ACCOUNT ACCESS
Tropicana FCU has three onsite ATM's available - one at the main office located at 604 13th Ave E, Bradenton, one at the Tropicana Plant next to the payroll window and one in our Parrish office at 12271 US Highway 301. We will strive to keep these ATM's available for our membership's use. In the event these ATM's are not accessible, we have partnered with several ATM networks that will give our membership the ability to access cash anywhere in the United States. The PRESTO! network, located at Publix stores, is available throughout Florida. CU 24, STAR and PLUS networks allow access nationwide. Remember to plan ahead if you need to make a cash withdrawal. If the power goes out, ATM's will not work!
BRANCH ACCESSIBILITY
If the branches are not accessible, we will strive to provide alternate sites for member access. As soon as it is available, the location of any alternate site will be posted on a sign outside the credit union main office as well as on our website at www.tropicanacu.com. We will also place a message on our phone system with the information. Just call the office at 941-748-7704 for updates.
BRANCH CLOSURES

TFCU is committed to the safety and well-being of our staff as well as our members. We will re-open as quickly as possible to serve our membership depending upon the amount of physical damage incurred, availability of power and telephone communications and how quickly local authorities are able to clear the areas around the credit union branches.
